The beauty and efficiency of UltraShield® by Déco in an elegant residential complex in Porto Rotondo

In Porto Rotondo, at the heart of the Costa Smeralda, Sardinia’s ‘Emerald Coast’, rises a new and exclusive residential complex, to which Déco has contributed elegance and charm with its UltraShield® composite wood exterior cladding, chosen in an oak colouring.

The complex, designed by the studio MCMarch and located a short walk from the town centre and its characteristic port, has a strikingly dynamic architecture that plays with volumes and materials, with a combination of wood and vertical greenery that fascinates and harmonizes the building with its surrounding environment.

Immersed in nature and overlooking the archipelago, the complex is designed on several levels with modern architectural lines that give life to spacious apartments with terraces, a swimming pool, a sauna and a gym. The light, white and sandy tones and select materials such as stone and wood paired with green are a tribute to Sardinia and its nature.

The technologies and products employed are of the latest generation, and reflect the highest quality and energy efficiency standards.

UltraShield®, the composite wood cladding by Déco, was chosen to cover the façade for its unique features that are one of a kind in the sector. Indeed, its surface covering consists of special plastic shield that protects each board, making it durable, tough, scratch-proof, stain-proof and immune from colour changes over time.

The profiles remain unaltered against any type of external aggression, whether natural, environmental or chemical, and are resistant up to 35 years after installation, without any need for maintenance.‎

It is therefore an ideal product in this very sunny location near to the sea. Thus UltraShield® by Déco combines beauty, efficiency, durability and practicality in one single product.

Finally, consistent with Déco’s philosophy, the cladding is eco-sustainable, with its constituent wood flour coming from recycled wood chips, therefore guaranteeing a zero deforestation impact, and its HDPE (high density polyethylene) component an entirely biodegradable alternative to PVC.
